Christmas ornament full of meaning with Mizuhiki

Christmas is a time full of small gestures, warmth, and personal messages. It was precisely from this idea that my Christmas ornament was created – a piece of traditional Japanese knot art, lovingly crafted and full of symbolism.

The meaning of the knots

My ornament combines two special knotting techniques:

- Oioi knot – It represents luck, protection and positive development .
It is meant to accompany the recipient through the new year and give them strength.

- Kanai knot – This knot symbolizes harmony, fulfillment and the success of wishes .
He reminds us to take hope and inner peace with us into the new year.

The combination of these two knots creates an ornament that speaks louder than words:
It carries a message that can be given to loved ones or kept for oneself.

The Mizuhiki cords are carefully shaped and then sealed with a high-quality lacquer .
This makes the ornament waterproof , stable and durable.

Nevertheless, I recommend using it indoors – that's where the colour and shape are best preserved.
